<p style="font-size: 16px;font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-weight: normal;color: #222222; line-height: 1.5 !important;">During this initial phase, the cleaning process runs daily and removes files that have not been modified for more than <strong>60 days</strong>.</p>

<p style="font-size: 16px;font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-weight: normal;color: #222222; line-height: 1.5 !important;">Starting <strong>November 3</strong>, the retention period will be reduced to <strong>40 days</strong>, bringing Pitagora in line with the policy already adopted on all other <strong>CINECA</strong> clusters.</p>

<p style="font-size: 16px;font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-weight: normal;color: #222222; line-height: 1.5 !important;">Please note that this procedure <strong>only affects data stored in the SCRATCH area</strong>. Files located in the <strong>HOME</strong>, <strong>PUBLIC</strong>, and <strong>WORK</strong> areas will not be impacted.</p>

<p style="font-size: 16px;font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;font-weight: normal;color: #222222; line-height: 1.5 !important;">If you wish to preserve any data older than the retention limit (60 days during this first phase, 40 days thereafter), please move it either outside the cluster for long-term archiving, or to one of the cluster's persistent storage areas, such as <strong>WORK</strong>.</p>

Such practices are therefore strictly prohibited.</p>
