Dear Users,

After the first month with the new budget policy on FERMI in place, we drew some conclusions based on statistical analysis and users feedback. On this basis, we would like to propose and implement a new policy as follows: mainly, the monthly quota will no longer be calculated with the formula total_budget/total_months.
Instead, the new formulation will be: remaining_budget/remaining_months. This new quota will be calculated based on the situation of each account on June 1st, 2014 and will be kept constant permanently (i.e. it will not be recalculated at the start of the each month). This change has been especially thought for those projects that were already ongoing when the linearization started and were thus disadvantaged from the new policy.

At last, we kindly remind all users that a linearization policy is ongoing on FERMI, and we strongly advice them to plan in advance their jobs submission scheduling by taking this new policy into account.

Regards
