Dear Users,

Starting from January 23rd, 2018, an incorrect consumption of the budgets was accounted on Marconi. This was due to an erroneous calculation of the core-hours consumed by the jobs and may have caused an overuse of the system by some of the projects, in spite of the allocated core-hours.

In particular, the "saldo" command is returning, for some projects, a lower value with respect to the actual one.

For A2 partition the consumption underestimate is more pronounced, followed by A3, while for A1 the data are almost correct.

We fixed this problem and, starting from Wednesday, June 6th, the consumption data will be updated; since then you will see the correct amount of cpu-hours spent by your projects. Therefore, some projects, that currently seem to have hours left, may become correctly recognized as exhausted.

We apologize, since we know this could create some difficulties in organising your activities. We remain at your disposal to find all possible solutions.

Best regards,
HPC User Support @ Cineca
