Dear Users,

the maintenance operations on GALILEO are completed and the cluster is now
open to the production. The stop marked the end of the first phase of the
reconfiguration/upgrade
http://www.hpc.cineca.it/center_news/galileo-reconfiguration-and-upgrade of
the cluster, please refer to our updated Galileo User Guide
https://wiki.u-gov.it/confluence/display/SCAIUS/UG3.3%3A+GALILEO+UserGuide
for further details on the system specifics.

We remind you that:

* the environment on the new Galileo (modules, scheduler configuration,
etc.) is unchanged
* the data in your $HOME and $WORK directories have been copied to the new
storage
* the filesystem with the old $CINECA_SCRATCH is available in read-only mode
on two nodes accessible via the new gll_all_transfer partition, at the
mount point /gpfs/scratch_old

Please keep in mind that during the first week on the new system the RCM
service will not be available. Please also note that, due to the tuning of
the storage configuration, in the first weeks of the new production some
sporadic, short unavailabilities of the $WORK filesystem might occur and,
more in general, further operations may be required in order to bring the
cluster in its final configuration.

Best regards
