<p>We are pleased to announce that *a new accelerated HPC system *will be<br />
installed at Cineca and should be available to production early 2020. <br />
translation" style="font-size: 12.48px;" lang="en"<br />
xml:lang="en">This system, based on IBM Power9 chips and <br />
translation" style="font-size: 12.48px;" lang="en"<br />
xml:lang="en">equipped with NVIDIA Volta V100 GPUs, opens the way to the<br />
pre-exascale<br />
translation" lang="en" xml:lang="en">Leonardo supercomputer<br />
expected to be installed in 2021.</p>
<p>The new system enhances and substitutes the A2 partition of Marconi (KNL)<br />
that will be definitively shutted down in the next few months. A plan for<br />
migration of the projects hosted on Marconi-A2 will be developed in the<br />
coming days and communicated promptly.</p>
