Dear users,

the "spack" module is now available on G100 system, in the version 0.16.2.

Spack is a tool management and it will allow you to install compilers,
libraries, tools and applications not available among our modules that we
remind you can list by "modmap" command:

$ modmap -all

$ modmap -m

By loading the spack module, a spack path is defined ($WORK/$USER/spack-). It
contains executables, modules, sources installed by you through spack. The
folder is created at the first installation through spack module.
In addition, the modules that we have already created via spack are
available:

$ module load spack

$ module av

We remind also that $WORK is the area of your default project. It is shared
between the collaborators of the project and it will be removed at the end of
the project. If you prefer to change the spack path of the installation, you
can change it. For information on how to do it and in general how use spack
to install new software, you can refer to the spack manual.

In our User Guide you can find a basic description of the spack usage:
https://wiki.u-gov.it/confluence/display/SCAIUS/UG2.6%3A+Production+Envi...

Best regards,
