Dear Users,</p>
<p>this is to inform you that on June 29th the new Interactive Computing service<br />
will be available for all the users with an active account on G100. This<br />
service will allow you to access a restricted set of compute nodes of G100<br />
using a web interface based on Jupyterlab. Each node will be equipped with 2<br />
nVidia V100 GPUs and resources will be provided with near-immediate access,<br />
thus no queues are expected in order to start an interactive computing<br />
session.</p>
<p>The interface will be provided with several initial features, like:<br />
- Python environments for specific tasks (e.g. Dask, Pytorch, Tensorflow...)<br />
with the possibility of creating custom ones;<br />
- C/C++ kernel (Xeus);<br />
- in-browser bash terminal;<br />
- Slurm Queue Manager (a web interface to submit and monitor jobs on G100);<br />
- integration with nVidia monitoring tools;<br />
- VSCode interface;<br />
- R kernel.</p>

<p>The service will be released in pre-production, which means that in the<br />
initial stage there is no guarantee of full operability; at the same time, in<br />
this pre-production phase accounting from the interactive computing service<br />
will be disabled, so resources can be used for free as long as there is an<br />
active budget account on G100.</p>
