27/06/2006: fermo $CINECA_HOME, $CINCEA_DATA, SP5

Martedi' prossimo 27 giugno, dalle 8:00 fermeremo $CINECA_HOME e
$CINECA_DATA per aggiornare il software di gestione SFS, per tentare di
risolvere i vari problemi di cui hanno sofferto clx e recentemente anche
SP5.

Per questa ragione i due filesystem non saranno raggiungibili per 2
giorni: il 27 ed il 28 giugno.

In concomitanza aggiorneremo alcuni componenti software di SP5, che
sara' non accessibile il 27 giugno.

Probabilmente riusciremo a rendere accessibile, in modalita' di sola
lettura, i dati della sola $CINECA_HOME su un filesystem in tecnologia
non-SFS.

CLX sara' attivo, ma dovrete avere la cura di far funzionare i vostri
job utilizzando il solo /scratch per poter lavorare nel corso di quei 2
giorni.

Next Tuesday, june 27th, we will stop $CINECA_HOME and $CINECA_DATA to
update the SFS managment software. This to try to solve the various
problems of which CLX has suffered, and recently SP5 too.

For this reason the two filesystems will not be reachable for 2 days:
june 27th and 28th.

Concurrently we will update some software components of SP5, that will
not be available on june 27th only.

Probably we will be able to make available a read-only copy of
$CINECA_HOME only, on a filesystem based on a non-SFS tecnology.

CLX will be available, but you need to take care and to let your jobs
work using /scratch only, in order to work in those 2 days.
