N.1 FULL TIME FELLOWSHIP FOR 16 MONTHS

Topic: Tool development for the Theoretical Virtual Observatory (TVO) and
Visualization (VisIVO) in a grid infrastructure

Contract duration: 01.07.2007 until 30.10.2008
Gross salary for year 25.000 Euros
including taxes payed from the Cometa Consortium  (net salary about 1.300
Euros each month)
work place: Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica, Osservatorio Astrofisico di
Catania, via S. Sofia, 78, 95123 Catania.

Requirements:

    * Master degree in one of the following fields: Physics, Astronomy,
Informatics, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent qualifications
    * Knowledge in the following fields is required:
    * Programming language C/C++;
    * Gnu-Linux and Window operating systems
    * Experiences/knowledges in the following topics will be taken into
account:
          o Virtual Observatory Relational Database
          o Web Services and Java
          o Scripting languages
          o Basics knowledge on communication protocols
          o Kitware Visualization ToolKit
          o A good level of English language both spoken and written is
required
