DECI projects: III call for proposals

Dear HPC users of CINECA,

We are pleased to provide you with additional information with regards
to the announcement of the call for proposals in the scope of the DEISA
Extreme Computing Initiative (DECI). Detail information regarding the
application profiles and on how to proceed is available at

A summary of the information at the above site is as follows:

The DEISA Consortium is currently calling for proposals for a third
generation of DECI applications that will be supported and/or deployed from
November 2007. The deadline of the call is  30th June 2007. If your call is
accepted, DEISA is ready to provide increased support to the design and
enabling of your application. In some cases, this support can entail a medium
term commitment of human resources for the application design and enabling
work (i.e. an engineer from DEISA for several months). Training sessions for
potential and current users on how to use the DEISA infrastructure are
organised regularly. DEISA support will be granted to cover the travel
expenses for participants who need to travel to attend the training session.

(deisa-support a list.cineca.it). We will provide you with further
instruction on how to proceed and support you in preparing the proposal.
