27 September 2024

Dear users,

we are happy to invite you to join Cineca specialists for an exciting journey into the world of high-performance computing at the European Researcher’s Night in Bologna and Rome. Discover the incredible capabilities of supercomputing, including the Leonardo supercomputer , one of the most powerful systems in the world. Through interactive games and hands-on workshops, you’ll explore how supercomputers perform millions of billions of calculations per second and why this technology is crucial for advancing scientific research.

On 27 September , the European Researchers’ Night returns across Europe. Cineca will present supercomputing and scientific visualisation projects as part of the Society Project in Bologna and the NET-Science Together Project , coordinated by the CNR, in Rome.

Rome Events – NET European Night Dates : Friday 27 and Saturday 28 September
Time : 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Location : Città dell’Altra Economia, Testaccio District, Rome
This year’s NET European Night is a special tribute to  Maria Skłodowska Curie , the pioneering scientist who revolutionised physics and chemistry, and the first individual to receive two Nobel Prizes.
