Dear users,  

We are happy to announce that registrations are now open for the SYCL & oneAPI Hackathon at CINECA. 

The SYCL & oneAPI Hackathon at CINECA, organized in collaboration with Intel, is a three-day, in-person event designed to help HPC and AI developers to port and/or optimize their codes for GPUs using the SYCL programming model and the oneAPI ecosystem. 

The event will take place on May 19-21 2025, in CINECA's site in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna). 

During the course of the event, participants will be able to attend technical presentations from SYCL and oneAPI experts, focusing on development tools, optimization techniques and hints, and performance portability strategies.  

Participants will then have the chance to apply what they learn during the lectures through dedicated hands-on sessions, where they will work on improving their own code (BYOC track) or on a project provided by the instructors. 

Finally, participants will have the opportunity to run their code on Leonardo, one of the most powerful computers in the world (  (https://leonardo-supercomputer.cineca.eu/) https://leonardo-supercomputer.cineca.eu/  (https://leonardo-supercomputer.cineca.eu/) ) and on the Intel Developer Cloud, to show performance portability among different high-performance GPUs.
