<p>Dear Users,</p>
<p>in order to improve the performances of the visualization service on Galileo, the KDE window manager has temporary been removed from the list of eligible managers in the RCM menu. The present managers, fluxbox and mwm, are lighter and ensure a faster response of the visual session with respect to KDE.</p>
<p>All the tools enabled in the KDE profile, and the same loaded environment, are provided with fluxbox and mwm, the main difference being the display appearance settings. Please note that the Common Tools folder is not created when using mwm, but the applications collected in the folder are always available by loading the corresponding modules and launching the executables with vglrun, please refer to our online <a href="http://www.hpc.cineca.it/content/remote-visualisation" target="_blank">documentation</a>.</p>
