Dear Users,

The Mont-Blanc project will co-organize theEMiT 2016 conference ,that will take place on the 2nd-3rd June 2016 at the Campus Nord UPC, Aula Master, Barcelona, Spain. EMiT aims to provide a stage for leading researchers from academia and industry to discuss how research and development influences the field of emerging computing technology.

The sheer diversity of hardware and software tools now available for computing in all fields has presented both users and researchers in industry and academia with a new set of challenges to prepare for the next generation of computing.

Until recently, the next generation of computing only needed to know the speed of forthcoming hardware. This is no longer true with new and novel highly parallel computing architectures and programming models being unveiled all the time. This is forcing users and developers to ask important questions about re-coding and future proofing existing scientific and computing software.

Unique in its aims and scope, the EMiT (Emerging Technology) conference series brings together world-leading experts to examine how to best take advantage of the changing landscape of computer hardware and software and overcome research barriers for fields such as computational fluid dynamics, computational mechanics, life sciences, and financial modelling. Call for papers deadline: Friday 12th February 2016.
