<p>Dear Users,</p>
<p>the operations performed this morning for the redefinition of the <a href="http://www.hpc.cineca.it/center_news/upgrade-cinecascratch-storage-galileo">scratch area on Galileo</a> are now complete. In order to guarantee the successful change of the mounting point of the scratch filesystem, for a short period also the other filesystems (hosting the $HOME and the $WORK) have not been available. Hence, in addition to those jobs using $CINECA_SCRATCH, also the other running jobs may have failed and may need resubmission.</p>
<p>You can now access the data stored in the old scratch using the variable $SCRATCH_OLD, while the new (empty) scratch area is accessible by means of the usual variable $CINECA_SCRATCH; please, copy your data from $SCRATCH_OLD to the new $CINECA_SCRATCH<strong> within April 14th</strong> when the <strong>old scratch area will be definitely unmounted</strong> <strong>and removed.</strong></p>
