SP5: /scratch disponibile

Finalmente abbiamo sistemato i problemi di performance che affliggevano
$CINECA_SCRATCH.

E' ora disponibile, veloce (~900MB/s) e VUOTO. I dati che avevate sullo
/scratch di SP4 sono accessibili in modalita' READ-ONLY sotto:

/sfs/sanfs/home/scratch

Avete 20 giorni da oggi per copiare sotto $CINECA_SCRATCH i file
temporanei di SP4 che ancora vi servono, dopo di che cancelleremo questo
filesystem di appoggio.

ATTENZIONE:
NON utilizzate l'opzione "-p" di "cp". ("cp" e "cp -r" vanno piu' che
bene). Se usate tar, usate l'opzione "-h".

Infatti non abbiamo potuto mettere tutti i file in un unico filesystem,
per cui, i file e le directory che non ci sono stati, hanno in loro vece
un link simbolico che punta alla locazione effettiva.

At the end we have solved the performance problems of $CINECA_SCRATCH.

It is now available, fast (~900MB/s) and EMPTY. All your temporary data
that was on SP4 are available READ-ONLY here:

/sfs/sanfs/home/scratch

You have 20 days from today to copy in $CINECA_SCRATCH the SP4's
temporary files that are still needed, after that we will delete this
support filesystem.

ATTENTION:
DO NOT use "-p" option of "cp". ("cp" and "cp -r" are OK). If you want
to use tar, use the option "-h".

In fact we were not able to put all the files in a single filesystem, so
files and directories overfilling it, have a symbolic link in their
place that points to their effective location.
